Abilities: Extraordinary vision; can see extremely long distances. Moves faster, jumps higher, and is stronger than humanly possible. Heals quickly. Fights with sand that can suffocate and bury enemies.

Personality: Paris is a sarcastic hopeless romantic. She loves to make jokes at other people's expense. She is extremely loyal to her friends and protective of anyone she loves and cares about. She's never had any luck in love, just never able to find the man who seems to complete the part of her that's missing, so it can make her bitter towards men at times. She's very self sacrificing, never failing to put herself in front of danger to keep those around her safe.

Background: Paris grew up in a very small town in California where she dreamed of becoming a dancer. She decided at a young age that she would do anything to move to New York and attend art school. So, as soon as she was old enough to start earning money through chores, she did so. Then at 15 she got a job at a coffee shop, giving up her weekends and free time to earn as much money as she could for the big move to New York.

At eighteen she moved to New York after receiving scholarships to Juilliard. She excelled at everything she did, always working hard as she'd done all her life, wanting to be the best she could be. After her third year of school she came down with a illness that she had never experienced before and couldn't seem to shake it. So she went to the hospital to get it checked out, but while there something set alarms off all over the building. People, patients and staff alike, were rushing to escape whatever had occurred. She couldn't get out, and when the doors locked, she was stuck inside. When she awoke there were people in suits everywhere, looking for survivors, and she managed to make it home in one piece. Her illness was gone, but something else had taken its place...

Name: Devyn Maher

Age: 23

Abilities: She is telekinetic, has the ability to become invisible, has heightened flexibility, and she can fly.

Persona: The Sterling Swan

Personality: Devyn is naive and often has her feelings easily hurt. She can become very clingy and also has a tendency to be quite distant. She can act very young at times, but will often turn around and act serious and very much her age. She's always smiling, which can annoy those around her, but she tries to be generally happy about everything. She sees the bright side of things. To her the cup is half full.

Background: Devyn grew up in Tennessee. Her parents were both singers, aspiring to hit it big, and were often on the road while she was growing up. She was often staying with her grandmother, a retired model, because of this. She taught her how to always look her best. She dreamed of becoming just like her grandmother, so when she was 18 she moved off to New York City to pursue a life in modeling. She didn't expect New York to be too different from Nashville, but was caught by surprise. She feels alone in the city, even after living there for four years, with a great modeling career starting up and really wishes that her life would change. Some new friends would be nice...

She goes into the hospital because she has a horrible sore throat that has kept her stuck in bed. She knows it is probably only strep, but wants to make sure she gets some antibiotics for it. She falls asleep while on an IV and wakes up to people screaming and evacuating. For some reason she finds her door pushed shut by something blocking it from the outside. She tries to open the window, but to no avail, and ends up passing out. She wakes up and after being checked on by men in hazard suits, she is aloud to go home. Her strep throat is mysteriously gone, but she's breaking things on accident and it's almost like she can hear the thoughts of everyone around her.

Name: Miyu Espeland

Age: 22

Abilities: Superhuman speed, martial arts, great flexibility, and sword fighting.

Persona: The Scarlet Scorpion

Personality: Miyu is strong willed and disciplined. She is very polite, but can come off as quite snide. She can become easily angered if rubbed the wrong way. She is quiet, often meditating or thinking to herself, but can hold very intelligent conversations.

Background: Miyu was born and raised in Japan where her father was working as an Army General. She took great pride in being Japanese in all but blood and became very into their culture. She lived a very Japanese lifestyle of being respectful and in touch with everything around you. She took up martial arts at the age of three and never stopped learning. She hungered for more training so her father suggested she take up a sword or two and learn how to fight with it. So, at fourteen she did just that and quickly excelled due to her already perfect flexibility. When she was 17 her father got reassigned to Fort Hamilton just outside of New York City, they moved there. She's lived there ever since, enjoying her new life in the big apple.

Now she attends the School of Visual Art as an undergraduate major in Photography. While climbing some rocks with her friends she fell and broke her arm. They rushed her to the hospital and dropped her off. She told them to go ahead and go back to the dorms and she'd call her father to come get her when she finished up there. When all of the chaos was taking place she couldn't get up from her bed without help, so she was stuck there. She passed out and woke up with her arm completely mended and was given permission to leave. Confused and a bit scared, she heads for home, unsure of what happened.
